Messiah has enthralled audiences for centuries and continues to stand as one of the most cherished masterpieces of choral music. Halifax Choral Society has a unique connection with Handel's Messiah  and continues its remarkable tradition with its 208th annual performance of Messiah. Joined by the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, in the beautiful candlelit setting of Halifax Minster this concert offers an evening filled with uplifting choruses, vibrant orchestral textures, and moments of profound reflection.  . Sit anywhere in the area marked in pink on the seating plan. Children (under 18) will be admitted free of charge. On the door only
Rear and Side
Sit anywhere in the area marked in blue on the seating plan.  Children (under 18) will be admitted free of charge. On the door only
Suggested Donation
We do not add booking fees to tickets booked through our website. However, we do have to pay our bank for processing card transactions. If you would like to add an optional donation to support the choir, this would be very much appreciated.

Halifax Minster is a Grade 1 listed building with over 900 years of history and its beautiful architecture and wonderful acoustics make it the ideal venue for Halifax Choral Society’s annual performance of Handel’s Messiah.  Wherever you sit you might have a pillar partially restricting your view but no seat will have no view at all. There will be large screens in areas where sightlines are poor, and wherever you sit you will be able to hear the music loud and clear!
