Description: | ![]() Since 1818, the people of Halifax have gathered to hear Handel’s Messiah performed by Halifax Choral Society, uplifted by the festive Christmas message “For unto us a child is born” and the unforgettable power of the “Hallelujah Chorus”. This year marks the 207th consecutive annual performance of this great work by Halifax Choral Society. The concert will take place by candlelight in Halifax Minster, under the direction of Anthony Gray. The Society is joined by distinguished soloists: Brittany King (Soprano), Matthew Farrell (Alto), Matt Spillett (Tenor), TBC (Bass) The Yorkshire Festival Orchestra Tickets are priced at £22 and are now available. Children aged 18 and under, when accompanied by an adult, will be admitted free of charge on the door. |
