Learn to Sing Handel’s Messiah – Inspired by BBC One’s “Gareth Malone’s Messiah” – starring Halifax Choral Society!
Did you watch Gareth Malone’s powerful “Messiah” on BBC One this Easter and think, “I wish I could sing that”? Now you can!
If you’re a total beginner or your singing experience is limited or years ago, don’t worry – you will not be alone! Our Learn to Sing Messiah course is designed to take you from scratch to singing this iconic masterpiece with confidence and joy.
What You Get
Over six sessions, led by experienced vocal coach Ed Jones, you will get:

When:
Monday evenings, 5:30 – 7:00pm
Carlton URC, Carlton Terrace, Halifax HX1 2AD. 10 minutes’ walk from Halifax Station and plenty of on street parking available (chargeable until 8pm)
How much?
The full course can be booked for £40, or if you prefer not to commit to every session you can book individual sessions for £7.50. The workshop is included as part of the cost of the full course, otherwise it is £15. Halifax Choral Society Members should book the sessions individually to take advantage of the members discount.
What is included?
Light refreshments and music will be provided, and any course participants who wish to stay for Halifax Choral Society’s normal rehearsals starting at 7:30 pm in the same venue will be welcome.
