DESCRIPTION:Since 1818\, Halifax audiences have thrilled to the joyful beau
 ty of the festive Christmas message: ‘For unto us a child is born’\, a
 nd the sheer power and majesty of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. This year
 ’s is the 206th annual consecutive performance of Messiah by Halifax Cho
 ral Society.\nPerformed by candlelight in the beautiful setting of Halifax
  Minster\, the concert will be conducted by Anthony Gray with soloists Emi
 ly Costigan (soprano) Nathan Mercieca (alto) James Micklethwaite (Tenor) a
 nd Charlie Murray (Bass)\nWe are delighted to be accompanied once again by
  Darius Battiwalla\, harpsichord\, Alan Horsey\, organist and the Yorkshir
